+One Retreat: A Sacred Space for New Moms in Sayulita

There are certain women whose presence changes a room.

Jessica is one of them.

Anyone who has crossed paths with her knows exactly what I mean — her energy is magnetic. She carries the biggest, most genuine smile, the softest heart, and a depth of sensitivity that makes you feel instantly safe. She is an incredible mother, a devoted friend, and someone you simply want around you.

Our kiddos are best friends, which means I’ve had the privilege of watching her mother up close. I’ve seen how she shows up for other mamas. I’ve seen how she holds space for children. And I can say with absolute certainty — this retreat is beyond special.

If you are a new mom, there is nothing I could recommend more.

Jessica will hold you in the safest, most welcoming hands.

What Is the +One Retreat?

“This may sound dramatic,” Jessica shares, “but I had severe postpartum depression after our first child. I truly believe this place — Mexico, Sayulita, this jungle property — saved me.”

And that’s where the inspiration for +One was born.

+One is a retreat created specifically for new mothers — a space where women can come back to themselves. It is not about “fixing” motherhood. It is about supporting it, honoring it, and creating room for healing, rest, and reconnection.

Who Is +One Designed For?

+One is designed for every new mom.

Rather than focusing on a specific stage of motherhood, Jessica meets each woman exactly where she is. The retreat is intentionally flexible, with curated experiences that can be adapted to each guest’s individual needs.

Every mother’s journey is different. +One honors that.

What Makes +One Different?

Two things: price and focus.

Postpartum centers can be prohibitively expensive. Jessica has made it a priority to keep +One accessible, offering discounts to nationals and locals so that more mothers can experience this kind of care.

And as far as she knows, +One is the only retreat of its kind focused specifically on new moms.

This isn’t a general wellness retreat where motherhood is a side note.
It is the heart of the experience.

Why Sayulita?

“In some ways,” Jessica says, “we didn’t choose Sayulita. It chose us.”

There is something undeniably magical about this area — the jungle, the sunshine, the ocean, the music, the people who go out of their way to help. It is a place that invites you back into yourself.

Jessica fell in love with Sayulita — and perhaps, she says, fell in love with herself again here too.

The Setting: Casa Cinética

At Casa Cinética, mornings begin with the sound of waves, birds, and wind through the palms.

Five private casitas are scattered throughout the jungle property, each offering privacy, modern comforts, and fully equipped western-style kitchens.

The space includes:

  • A breezy hilltop yoga palapa (with whale-watching views)
  • A saltwater pool
  • A grassy play area for children
  • An outdoor kitchen
  • A fire pit with a deep, padded bench for evening gatherings

It is intimate, peaceful, and deeply restorative.

A Typical Day at +One

No two mothers need the same thing. But a day might look like:

  • Slow, gentle mornings
  • A curated activity or workshop
  • Light, nourishing meals
  • Pool time or nap time
  • Time with baby or partner
  • Restorative yoga in the evening
  • Fires under the stars
  • And a long, supported night of sleep

Everything flows around what each mother needs most.

24-Hour Professional Childcare

One of the most unique aspects of +One is on-site, 24-hour professional childcare.

One of the hardest parts of new motherhood is stepping away — even briefly — without anxiety. +One allows moms to take a breath while knowing their baby is close, cared for by a trusted professional.

Even a short break from “mommy-ing” can be transformative.

It creates space to rediscover yourself — and to fall in love, in a new way, with who you are as a mother.

What’s Included?

Jessica has gathered an incredible team of specialists trained in:

  • Yoga
  • Pilates
  • Massage
  • Nutrition

The retreat includes guidance on:

  • Recovering from pregnancy
  • Moving in your new body
  • Postpartum nutrition
  • Restorative practices

Everything is tailored to the individual mom, so she leaves with tools she can carry back home.

Partners Are Welcome

Partners are encouraged to join.

Postpartum can strain connection. +One creates space for couples to reconnect — whether through shared experiences or separate activities that explore other aspects of the area.

An Intimate Experience

With only four casitas available, +One is intentionally small.

“Having a baby is the most intimate experience a woman can have,” Jessica says. “I want the retreat to reflect that.”

This is not a large group retreat.
It is deeply personal.

Traveling with a Newborn

For moms feeling hesitant about traveling with a newborn — you are fully supported.

Professional drivers in fully equipped vehicles (car seats included) meet guests just outside the Puerto Vallarta arrivals hall. Once you land, everything is handled.

All you have to do is get here.

What Moms Take Home

Jessica hopes each mom leaves with a feeling:

Connected.
Grounded.
Confident.
Refreshed.
Restored.

Ready for anything.
